PASIA wins ISM Affiliate Excellence Award




The Procurement and Supply Institute of Asia (PASIA) has won the prestigious Institute for Supply Management (ISM) award of Affiliate Excellence.

PASIA which focuses on uplifting the procurement and supply management profession in Asia Pacific and Middle East is the Asean Regional Affiliate for ISM. ISM is the oldest and most respected supply management institute in the world and is based in Tempe, Arizona.

Charlie Villasenor Chairman and CEO of PASIA, travelled to Baltimore, Maryland to receive the award that was Presented by Paul Novak the CEO of ISM. The Award was given in recognition of PASIA’s pioneering of Global Ethics in Procurement and Supply Management and the promotion of professional accreditation across the region from Philippines to Iraq.

PASIA is the only multi-country affiliate of ISM.

“It is a great honor to be recognized by ISM for the work that we have done throughout Asia and the Middle East as well as here in the Philippines to uplift the Procurement and Supply Management profession”, said Charlie Villasenor. “Our focus for the profession in the coming years is on Ethics and Sustainability, new best practices leveraging eProcurement and Strategic Procurement and getting more procurement professionals recognized through internationally accepted certification.”

PASIA and ISM will be staging a world event in Manila in November – the 2012 Annual Procurement and Supply Management Conference and Exhibition. With speakers and delegates from across Asia Pacific, Middle East , Europe and USA.
